WhatsApp now allows you to call anyone without an account or the app

Meta has rolled out a new guest calling feature for WhatsApp, significantly enhancing how users connect with others. The update allows anyone to invite external participants to a call, bypassing the traditional requirement of having a registered account.

To bring someone into a call, users simply need to generate and share a call link. Because Meta introduced call support on the web version of WhatsApp earlier this year, these guests do not even need to install the application on their phones or computers.

This feature removes common friction points in digital communication, making it much easier to interact with individuals who may not regularly use the platform. It bridges the gap between everyday messaging apps and traditional web-conferencing tools.

For tech users globally, including emerging markets where mobile messaging dominates, this update streamlines remote communication. It offers a hassle-free way for businesses and individuals to reach out to clients or contacts without forcing them into technical onboarding.
