Apple launches HomeView, its first smart display for the home

The Verge got an early look at Apple HomeView in New York City and described the device as "gorgeous." This marks the debut of Apple’s long‑rumored smart display for the home.

HomeView places a small, bright screen on top of a speaker base. The screen is designed for FaceTime video calls, displaying photos from iCloud, and controlling HomeKit‑compatible accessories via Siri.

Beyond calls and photos, the device can act as a digital photo frame, a glanceable dashboard showing calendar, reminders and weather, and a central hub for managing lights, thermostats and other smart home gear.

It enters a market already populated by Google Nest Hub and Amazon Echo Show, but its tight integration with Apple’s ecosystem and Siri gives it a distinct edge for existing Apple users.

In Uzbekistan and the wider Middle East, interest in smart‑home technology is growing. The arrival of HomeView could spur local developers and consumers to adopt Apple‑centric smart‑home setups and expand the range of compatible products in the region.
